a homeowner the Federal Tax Credit now allows you to claim 30% of the full purchase and installation price up to a maximum of $500 if you install a qualifying heating and cooling unit.
In order for you and your family to take advantage of this Federal Tax Credit, homeowners must install a qualifying unit in 2011, and claim it on their 2011 Federal income tax forms. For 2011 the maximum amount homeowners may claim as a taxpayer for all qualifying energy efficient home improvements which includes the purchase and installation is $500 over the lifetime of the credit (2009-2011), or $300 for one system.
The SunSource Home Energy System also qualifies for Federal Solar Credits (25D), up to 30% of the cost, with no upper limit! In addition your local utility may buy back power produced in excess or your needs for additional savings.

Progress Energy: Duct Repair / Replacement - Up to $150
Incentive requirements: 1. Applicable to residential improvement projects. 2. Must have an existing central air conditioning system and must be 5.5 tons or less (66,000 BTUs). 3. Ducts must be sealed with mastic and Underwriters Laboratory (UL) approved duct tape.

Annual energy savings for a 15 Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER) or greater unit could be up to 30 percent when compared to a 12 SEER unit.
